Lunch in Ybor City and the Viewing a Taping of a Sports TV Show

After our tour of the various ESPN venues around Tampa, Susan and I headed
over to Ybor City for lunch and then to view a taping of a TV Sports Talk Show.

Ybor City is an historic neighborhood east of Downtown Tampa. Ybor City was a thriving community during the early 20th Century as it was home to many Cigar Factories. When the factories closed, Ybor fell into decline, but a
rebound occurred during the late 1980's to early 1990's. For much of this time, bars and nightclubs made up the bulk of the businesses. In fact, many
people reguard Ybor as Tampa's version of the French Quarter of New Orleans. During the past 10 years, Ybor has slowly become a little more diverse, as some trendy shops and more resturaunts have popped up along 7th
Avenue, (Ybor's main street). Centro Ybor brought more stores, resturaunts
and a movie theater when it opened around 2000. Ybor became more
accessable with the opening of the TECO Streetcar which connects Ybor to
Channelside and Downtown. The Streetcar debuted in 2002. For more
